The pituitary gland is a small, pea-sized endocrine gland located at the base of the brain. It has two lobes: the anterior lobe and the posterior lobe.

The pituitary gland secretes several hormones, including:

●Growth hormone (GH): Regulates growth

●Prolactin (PRL): Stimulates milk production in the breasts

●Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH): Regulates the adrenal glands

●Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH): Regulates the thyroid gland

●Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH): Regulates the ovaries and testes

●Luteinizing hormone (LH): Regulates the ovaries or testes
